Scope: oil production Object problems: high corrosion rate stimulated by high hydrogen sulphide content (H2S). A significant amount of asphalt, resin and paraffin deposits.
Solution Inhibitor: DEFENDER-4215.5. Dosage: continuous supply of 10-30 g of inhibitor per 1 ton of process fluid. Application of DEFENDER series’ inhibitors, namely DEFENDER-4215.5 at one of the Asian oilfields.
|
Inhibitor DEFENDER-4215.5 showes high barrier properties against steel corrosion at a concentration of 10 g/t of process fluid and more, and complies with the requirements for corrosion protection reagents used in the process of extraction and transportation of oil. It also has high detergency towards asphalt, resin, and paraffin depositions in model water and oil. According to the result of tests held at concentrations of 10 g/t, 20 g/t and 30 g/t, this inhibitor removed asphalt, resin, and paraffin deposits at our objects to 66.54%, 71.03% and 99.54% respectively. |
